Carl was really amazed at the quality he said it looked like a hand laid one off because the quality was so high and there are even dimples to line up the drill for mounting holes. I used a small pilot bit to start the hole so it would be centered. And as a bonus,, Carls’s storage box for the drill got free ventilation holes.

Things have rocking along and the Texas Mile is getting closer so here we go. Our good friend Terry F is taking his Hayabusa to the Texas Mile this year so Carl has been helping him prep it.
Last weekend the installed the Boost by Smith DeRistrictor which is supposed to do the same thing as the T.R.E. but better. Improved Idle and lower gear mapping(similar to a Gear Position Sensor Mod) the only thing that changes is the 6th gear map, which the ECU thinks is still in 5th thus defeating the speed limiter. This is a plug and play installation just unplug the GPS and insert it between the plugs. Terry had already bought some exhaust I think it’s the Hotbodies, so the next step was safety wiring. According to Carl this is a secret arcane art.

The deal with Nitrous Express is all but a done deal (contract work) so I am going with a wet system and a Maximizer.
My Boss got a wild hair Thursday afternoon and decided to take my TEST GolfCart to the 1/8th Mile DragStrip. So with a short charge cycle and the wrong Motor I said sure lets go for it!
Now let me explain for those that don’t know, the company I work for builds Electric Vehicle Controllers. This means everything from stock GolfCart replacement Controllers to Electric Car and Truck conversions. We build Controllers for several of the Nations fastest Electric Vehicles on a custom basis also. I have a custom tube chassis Electric Race Car that is supposed to be coming but its been nearly a year in the wait.
What to do…

We are still going ahead one step at a time trying to run 200MPH NPA. Will the HeavyBus make it? I don’t know if it can be done without opening the engine. On the other hand a little spray should push it over with out any problems.
So the plan is something like this:
- Show up make my best runs NPA (No Power Adder)
- Ride Greg from HPC’s Busa in NPA (it ran 207 in March)
- Set the HeavyBus to make Nitrous passes
- Possibly, if there’s time, Carl may make a few passes. Problem is he will be watching over several bikes other than mine so he really may not have the time to make runs.
